

Mastery Peak is a quiz based game on Wayground (Formerly Quizizz) where students in a classroom participate to scale up a mountain as they answer questions set by the teacher. It gamifies the entire Q/A process of test-taking and introduces fun mini-games when students enter the 'Breakroom'. The teacher is allowed to set a 'Mastery' score - hence students can re-attempt answers until they attain a certain level of mastery in the quiz.
Wayground invited me to take the existing game and theme it in order to allow for variety in the game play. The themes had to be aligned to suit famous mountain peaks namely - Mt. Fuji and Mt. Kilimanjaro. I studied footage of travellers climbing these mountains and came up with journey visuals that best suited each environment & experience. This was a 2 month project, around a month per theme.
